Hi, I'm John, an Indigo with ties to the San Francisco Bay Area. I've been interested in, and concerned about, politics, social and environmental issues since I was 21 - and fascinated by science and the "strange and unexplained side of the world" since I was about 12 years old. Currently I'm working as an English and German tutor in Duisburg, Germany, but hope to go back to school to study investigative journalism in the not so distant future, preferably in the San Francisco Bay Area. Oh, and I almost forgot. I have two felines, Bandit and Felix, that are wonderful companions! As for being Indigo, in the summer of 2001 when I was visiting a relative she told me about Indigos (two of her three children are Indigos) I then 'googled' 'Indigo children' and was surprised about the many hits I got. Besides reading up on Indigos on the web I got Jan Tober and Lee Carroll's wonderful books about Indigo kids ("The Indigo Children" and "An Indigo Celebration"). Well, this turned out to be something like a home coming. I understood myself a lot better, many things like certain behaviors or experiences suddenly weren't so weird anymore and I stopped feeling rather out of place and somewhat isolated. Thanks for stopping by and reading :)
I like to think of myself as a citizen of the world but currently hang my hat in Canada eh. I came into my own at the tail end of the hippie era and worked like a dog doing lots of different things until I hit the big four-oh (that's 40 for the phonetically challenged out there). Around that time I realized I'd helped a few people become millionares but as for myself didn't have all that much to show for it. So I figured it was time to go into semi-retirement, do the things I wanted to do plus get myself a good education. Long story short, along the way I somehow managed to become a computer (Linux) Ueber-geek and that's how I ended up here. Although I'd only heard the term Indigo early in 2005 I figured it fit me in many ways and consider myself one. I also see myself as an Agnostic Buddhist which pretty much means I'm looking for the truth and have a kind of fear that if I don't get things right I'm doomed to reincarnate for another go at it. I take the world with a grain of salt, like to put my tongue firmly in cheek and have often been called a smart-ass (click the Canada link above to find out). My biggest love in life has been music which I discovered around the same time I realized girls were no longer yucky. My sweetheart has two well endowed pickups, a body with awesome curves and a sensuous long neck (my guitar eh). And oh yeah, I've got some political, social and moral leanings which is another reason I'm on board.
